Job Description
The External Affairs Office is responsible for all internal and external agency communications. This includes the press office, social media, the agency editor/speechwriter, correspondence, public outreach, and constituent services.
The External Affairs Division is seeking a Community Associate to act as an Outreach Liaison. Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions on all of DOF homeowner exemption and abatement programs.
- Develop outreach strategies to increase participation in all of DOF homeowner exemption and abatement programs.
- Proven experience as a program/event coordinator.
- Experience in reviewing documents to determine eligibility.
- Show a high-level of responsibility around quality, detail, and accuracy.
- Demonstrate ability to work independently and ability to multi-task.
- Show a commitment to training and cross-training; demonstrate ability to grasp changes in workflow or in application processing.
- Ability to work productively under pressure to meet productivity goals.
- Excellent written, public speaking and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient computer and technical skills including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to learn new computer-based programs quickly.
Qualification Requirements
1. High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or
2. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.
