Job Description for Cleanroom Production Technician

NY CREATES is seeking applicants for a Clean Room Production Technician.

This position will:

• Work directly with IE's, Operations Leads, Technicians, Engineers and Management to locate and address problematic areas to productivity.
• Spend significant time with the allocation of WIP throughout the fabs.
• Utilize email, the reports page information, and SiView applications to correctly streamline the movement of WIP and Equipment Monitors to increase productivity and tool recovery.
• Provide technical direction and assistance to personnel and management, will may be held accountable for results.
• Provides leadership to others and is a key resource inside and outside of the organization.
• Works unsupervised, demonstrates leadership by spending significant time in the fab(s) anticipating productivity moves, and shifts in WIP flow, training, while also aiding Cleanroom Operator's.
• Recognizes errors in a wide variety of own and others' work or inaccuracies which could lead to misprocessing and/or a delay in productivity, and takes actions to prevent or correct problems. Other reasonable duties as assigned.

Responsibilities for Cleanroom Production Technician

This position is responsible for:

• Streamlining the movement of WIP throughout the cleanroom and fabs for maximum efficiency.
• Allocating WIP to increase productivity and fab performance.
• Focuses on high volume areas wafer movement and accelerating down tool qualification for recovery.
• Conducts Audits of supporting stockers/racks distributing monitors and production lots throughout the fab(s).
• Monitors aged priority WIP to increase run ability and reviews Lot Holds for accuracy and equipment monitor reclaiming.

Requirements:

Minimum Requirements for Cleanroom Production Technician

• This position requires a minimum of an industry degree in a relevant technical field from a college or university accredited by the USDOE or internationally recognized accrediting organization; with 2 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.

OR

• Equivalent educational and professional experience and training associated in a highly technical/engineering environment.

• Candidates must have excellent leadership and mechanical skills, excellent computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, possess excellent written communication skills.
• Well organized with attention to detail.
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment as well as be available to overtime work.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis throughout shift
• Must have the ability to work OT as needed.
• This position is contingent on the satisfactory completion of a background check; this position may require annual background checks.

Preferred Requirements

• Semiconductor experience
• Leadership experience
