Job Summary:
We seek a dynamic and skilled Senior Systems Engineer / Network Administrator with 3-5 years of experience in IT, particularly within an MSP or corporate helpdesk setting. This role involves high-level consulting, system and network troubleshooting, and robust interaction with both internal teams and clients.
Everyone is expected to be a multi-tech aware and capable individual and we focus on never having anyone be just the “printer guy.”
Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced support for end users and customer networks, including on-site visits and remote support.
- Engage in all phases of client projects: presales, planning, implementation, and escalated post-sales support.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues across Windows environments, networking, and associated technologies.
- Maintain and upgrade system and network installations and configurations.
- Develop documentation to enhance team efficiency and support junior staff.
- Communicate progress and issues to management and clients regularly.
- Manage tickets and deliver timely solutions, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
- Participate in training and certification as directed by management.
- Operate outside standard business hours as required for project needs and client support.
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of relevant IT experience (ideally in an MSP environment)
- Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and multitasking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including proper phone etiquette.
- Experience with network protocols, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and familiarity with Cisco and SonicWALL technologies.
- Understanding of Microsoft 365 Administration, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
- Experience with helpdesk and remote support tools, preferably ConnectWise or Autotask.
- Valid US driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft, SonicWall, Cisco).
- Experience with Hyper-V, Intune, and other advanced technologies.
- Previous consulting and client-facing experience.
