Description

The Village at Commonwealth, Charlotte, NC:

Much of our success relies on our residents’ experience. This individual will answer questions, assist with directions, transportation and recommend local events and venues. This individual should be able to handle a variety of critical resident and property management needs. The ideal Concierge Associate should have at least 2 years of customer service experience. The Concierge Associate is the first impression of the community and the delivery of excellent customer service at all times is the goal. The Concierge Associate will provide the necessary services to current residents, potential residents, vendors, community partners and visitors.

POSITION AUTHORITY

The Concierge Associate does not have direct authority over any team member.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Maintain a climate of extremely high professionalism including appearance, demeanor, customer service, and work environment.
  • Foster an environment where residents receive value from this service which will result in high retention rates and rent growth.
  • Greet all residents and prospects, visitors with a smile, positive attitude, and professional demeanor.
  • Continuously monitor cameras, and utilize necessary programs to assist residents the entire shift.
  • Successfully meet the needs of prospective and current residents in person, over the phone, or via email with any task or request made including but not limited to leasing information, community information, neighborhood information, service requests, and/or any other request to meet and exceed their needs.
  • Keep lobby clean and presentable during entire shift including work space free of clutter.
  • Maintain coffee stations with proper supplies and clean regularly.
  • Give residents and authorized visitors access to apartments with knowledge that they have permission.
  • Check out keys and retain ID of housekeeper or visitor as necessary. Ensure return receipt of keys releasing ID obtain obtaining of keys.
  • Continually conscious that the Concierge Associate position is the most visited post at the community; therefore standing when residents and guests come to the desk with an enthusiastic, positive attitude to serve them.
  • Check in and when required deliver packages and dry cleaning to residents.
  • Any other duties assigned by Management.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrate an ability to support and contribute to community team.
  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook, community software.
  • Must possess a positive attitude and the ability to smile under all circumstances.
  • Participate in training in order to comply with new or existing laws.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Neat, clean, professional appearance at all times throughout the workday and/or whenever present at the community.
  • Comply with expectations as demonstrated in the employee handbook.
  • Demonstrate ability to diffuse and respond to customer concerns to avoid escalation of the problem.
  • Learn and ensure compliance with all company, local, state and federal safety rules.
  • Ensures that unsafe conditions are corrected in a timely manner.
  • Comply with expectations as demonstrated in the Employee Handbook.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School degree or GED
  • 2 years customer service experience
  • Obtain the Fair Housing Certification within 30 days of hire and prior to interacting with prospective residents
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
  • Successfully pass a drug test
  • Valid Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications

  • College degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook, community software
