Position Summary:

The job includes operating seated forklifts, loading and unloading trucks, stowing products, and picking orders with use of lift equipment.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Follow all safety procedures.
• Perform outbound functions include selecting, checking, re-containerizing.
• Inbound functions include receiving, placement and put away of product.
• Pick orders with use of lift equipment.
• Operate all lift equipment in safe and proper manner, checking to make sure loads are secure.
• Identify possible damaged or “red tag” material upon receipt of product.
• Collaborate with team members and communicates relevant information to the direct leader.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on forklift equipment and report any issues or malfunctions.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must have valid driver’s license.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication skills
• Must have valid forklift certification or license.
• Must have prior experience in forklift operations in a warehouse or distribution environment or similar.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Ability to understand and follow company policies and procedures including safety, receiving, and shipping procedures and logs and hazard material requirements.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, safely and effectively working with other members of the department and take instruction.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and reaching.
