Bulger Veterinary Hospital [http://www.ivghospitals.com/hospital/bulger-veterinary-hospital/] is seeking a FULL-TIME SMALL ANIMAL DERMATOLOGIST to join our 24/7 Emergency, General Practice and Specialty referral hospital in Lawrence, MA. Located north of Boston, Bulger offers a highly team-oriented and collaborative culture in which team members truly enjoy the environment and people with whom they work. We strive to provide this same friendly environment for our clients and patients, so that they are an equal partner in decision making and their pet's medical care. Our hospital is an 11,000-square foot facility with a planned move to a brand new 16,500-square foot facility occurring in early 2019. We currently do not have a dermatologist but are invested in equipping and staffing the department to fulfill its needs. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to develop the service from the ground up. Our diagnostic equipment includes digital radiology, ultrasound, and on-site CT. MRI and fluoroscopy capability are available at our in-network hospital 20 miles away. Our collaborative team consists of 2 Internists, a Surgeon, an Ophthalmologist, a residency-trained Criticalist, 6 experienced ER doctors, and 13 doctors who provide both general practice and emergency care. Anesthesiology consultations are available when needed. Our specialists and emergency doctors are supported by an amazing group of technicians, client care coordinators, and management team. With expansion into the new facility, we expect to also add a radiologist, dermatologist, and an exotics specialist. In addition to practicing, specialists also have the opportunity to work with the Clinical Trial Initiative for Ethos and have access to our comprehensive online library of veterinary journals.
