Heron Creek Animal Hospital located in North Port, FL is growing and expanding! We are seeking a veterinarian with experience or an interest in urgent/emergency care.

Our General Practice hospital has been serving the community since 2006. Our mission statement is to elevate the level of veterinary care in the community and to practice in a fun, compassionate environment that is mutually beneficial to staff, clients, and patients alike.

Our 4-doctors at our practice provide a wealth of knowledge in the veterinary industry. Our veterinarians are highly skilled in Emergency and Critical Care Services, Dentistry, Dermatology, Ultrasound and advanced imaging, Internal Medicine, and integrative medicine. We also have a board-certified surgeon who will visit our clinic and perform specialized surgeries.

Our hospital philosophy includes an ongoing commitment to training and continuing education. We encourage surgical and dental opportunities for every doctor and are open to growing and expanding exotic medicine services. We provide our technical and clerical staff with regular seminars on critical issues in veterinary medicine and customer service.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1 year of experience working as a veterinarian
  • Ability to work afternoon and evening shifts is ideal
  • Ability to work holidays
  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in the state in which the applicant is to be employed
