We are looking for a Nurse Manager to oversee our Medical Surgical unit! In this position you will be involved in unit based planning, budgeting, staffing and education program development in order to deliver efficient, effective, and quality patient care!

Nurse Manager responsibilities:

• Managing and coordinating the operational activities of department
• Administering personnel action
• Recruiting staff, ensuring adequate levels of people to meet business needs and financial parameters
• Establishing and maintaining communication between ancillary departments, physicians, nursing personnel and other healthcare professionals
• Managing unit cost in a fiscally responsible manner
• Determining fiscal requirements and preparing budgetary recommendations - monitor costs and expenditures of unit
• Providing emotional support to employees, patients, and families

Nurse Manager qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse License in the state of New Jersey
• Bachelor’s in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing required
• Minimum of 3-5 years clinical nursing experience in medical/surgical unit required
• Current BLS and ACLS Certifications
• Good interpersonal, communication, team-work, and customer service skills
• Strong organizational, problem-solving and follow-through skills
• Ability to multi-task constantly, react to changes quickly/productively, and tolerate interruptions
• Ability to perform work when no directions are given, and give directions to others
• Remain flexible, organized, professional and able to analyze, make sound decisions under stressful or crisis situations
• Demonstrate knowledge of current computer systems, equipment or programs used in the organization, knowledge of Epic a plus
• Demonstrate maturity and accountability
