Millwright 1st shift
The millwright is responsible for equipment repair and preventative maintenance. They work closely with the production team to maximize the efficiency of the operation. This is a day shift position, although flexibility to take calls on second shift is expected. The millwright is responsible for compliance with all company policies, local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.
· Experience using welding equipment and procedures
· Align equipment by using specialized tools
· Make transitions from auger to auger or from auger to machine
· Maintain equipment by performing preventative maintenance
· Collect and inventory distinct machinery parts
· Check for holes in pipes, legs, augers, etc.
· Collaborate with production workers on what needs repaired or built
· A minimum requirement of a high school degree or equivalent
· Knowledge of feed manufacturing equipment operation and maintenance
· Ability to lift 60 pounds, climb ladders and operate a pallet jack with 2,000 pounds of material
· Three (3) or more years of experience as an industrial mechanic, millwright, or maintenance mechanic in an industrial, agricultural, manufacturing, or military environment.
· A two-year technical degree in electromechanical or industrial maintenance.
· Valid Mechanical Journeyman License
· Experience troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing various types of industrial equipment or machining equipment
· Experience and understanding of precision maintenance practices
· Experience with laser alignment equipment
· Welding certification or experience
· Rigging certification or experience
· Ability to weld and use a cutting torch
· Use of precision instruments to align and measure equipment that is being installed or modified
· Ability to use common power tools including saws, drills, and grinders
· Knowledge of standard and metric size hand tools including wrenches, sockets, allen keys, bits, and taps
· Ability to construct, assemble, repair and dismantle machinery and equipment using tools such as: hammers, wrenches, crowbars, rollers, dollies, hoists and other hand tools
· Ability to understand schematic diagrams, blueprints, sketches, building plans and other specifications required by our client for information regarding the type of material required to get job done
· Experience working with equipment such as boom lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
