Location(s) : Tifton, Georgia

The Terminal Operator 1 position will report to the Terminal Supervisor and will assist in the day-to-day operation of the Nutrien Terminal.

This includes the unloading and loading of rail cars and trucks, terminal maintenance, and operating a variety of equipment.

What you will do :

  • Develop a personal safety culture by following Nutrien’s processes so everyone goes home safe every day.
  • Handle shipments of Dry fertilizer products, record data and make operational corrections as required.
  • Perform maintenance activities that include predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance of plant equipment to provide consistent plant reliability and production.
  • Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain mechanical equipment including but not limited to : Diesel engines, hydraulic pumps, conveyor belts and alignment, and rollers.
  • Operate a wide variety of construction equipment, frontend loader, skid steer, forklift, man-lift, tractor, zero turn mower, and various hand tools.
  • Perform Operations tasks to maintain inventory control using variety of software programs to weigh trucks, load / unload Railcars and Semi-trucks.
  • Maintain all buildings and perform landscaping duties such as mowing and cutting weeds.

What you will bring :

  • Minimal experience required; on the job training provided.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Strong safety mindset.
  • Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft applications).
  • Willingness to learn with continuous improvement mindset.
  • Some experience with heavy equipment operation such as a Frontend Loader, skid steer or forklift.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • A willingness to travel occasionally for training courses.
  • Ability to work overtime during busy season; (March-May)
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must live within 35-mile radius from 31794.
