The Seed Accountant is responsible for accounting of seed operations activity. This includes monthly journal entries, data analysis, transactional research, and reporting.

What you will do:

• Month-end accruals, allocation entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and clearing of activity as appropriate
• Coordinates with retail branches, internal, and external stakeholders to assist with seed transactions
• Provide direction to retail branches on proper seed accounting procedures including phone, webinar, and in person trainings as needed
• Problem-solving and analysis, both independently and in collaborative environments
• Complete audit requests as assigned
• Learn and understand overall accounting impacts pertinent to role
• Prepares and distributes monthly reports
• Ad hoc projects as requested

What you will bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Business from a recognized institution
• 0 - 3 years accounting experience
• Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles
• Strong integrity and business ethics
• Organized with a high attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to prioritize and work well with competing deadlines
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Ability work well with variety of different business areas within the company
• Ability to analyze issues and apply accounting standards to reflect accurate financial reporting
• PeopleSoft and/or SAP experience a plus

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Range $55,440 - $88,000annually. This range is estimated for Accountant, Retail Seed Accountingrole in Loveland, Colorado. Actual salary and benefits may differ based upon location.

In addition to base pay, this role is also eligible to participate in our annual incentive plan,consistent with the terms of our program(s) where discretionary pay out of awards is reflecting components such as performance of the company and the employee.
