The Technical Support Specialist (Internal Technician Trainer) represents Nuss Truck and Equipment dealership group promoting a high-quality product with a consistent and supportive environment for Nuss employees and customers. The position will primarily be supporting Nuss Service Technicians with technical information and diagnostic guidance. The position will be based centrally located within the Nuss dealership group / Minnesota metro area. Note: this is not an IT position. Responsibilities :Develop positive relationships and trust within the dealership leadership, all levels of Service Technicians, customers, Mack/Volvo and other supplier staff. Provide repair information, diagnostic guidance and high-quality problem resolution to Nuss service staff.Provide Nuss service staff with hands on technical training & paths to Master certification.Develop, manage and host training events (teach) in a classroom setting as needed to ensure positive success for NTE technicians. This includes developing (and modifying) all training materials needed for NTE.Staying up to date with Mack/Volvo technical supportEnsure Nuss financial resources and profitability are protected in repair decisions.Develop, train, and successfully implement std. repair jobs for various service and warranty repairs. Support and assist company safety programs and processes when applicable. Develop various oversight, reporting and communication tools to maximize service dept. efficiency Support other dealership departments and overall company goals and initiatives.Attend technical and other training as required.Minimal overnight travel, regular travel to all NTE locations Qualifications:Volvo / Mack Master level Technician required5-10 years Heavy Truck Technician experience Excellent communication, coaching, teaching, presentation skills requiredPrevious leadership and supervision experience preferredStrong computer and software skills (including ERP/RO)Positive and patient attitudeProfessional personal appearanceSuperior level technical creativity and troubleshooting skillsEducation:High school diploma or the equivalent
