Overview

Position Summary:

The primary effort of the Project Controls Specialist is to work with the project delivery team by developing budget and schedule baselines; collecting and analyzing progress; identifying and assisting in analyzing project variances; and managing and reporting this information to appropriate levels in standard formats. The PCS supports the implementation of procedures, systems and forecasting techniques, and interfaces with members of the project teams and various levels of management.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

  • Develops, maintains, and analyzes integrated critical path schedules.
  • Develops and documents project planning considerations and objectives, scope and milestones to incorporateinto the schedule.
  • Gathers project progress information from project manager and project team members to update and monitorthe project.
  • Evaluates and updates data regarding schedule dates, physical percent complete, resource requirements,subcontractor commitments and project accruals.
  • Reviews schedule progress and productivity of resources.
  • Develops time-phased project cost and resource forecasts; validates project costs; updates requirements asrequired.
  • Monitors progress of project deliverables and actual expenditures versus forecasts.
  • Documents and assesses the impact of project changes on budget and schedule baselines.
  • Evaluates and raises project early warning signals to project manager or project lead.
  • Evaluates and recommends resource realignments to maintain project execution.
  • Generates and analyzes earned value reports for projects and discusses any observations with the projectmanager.
  • Evaluates project execution and impact of developing trends using prescribed methodologies to determine ifproject is proceeding within available resources and budget.
  • Prepares internal status reports to communicate status and documents trends.
  • Uses appropriate document management protocols to manage the storage and retrieval of project documentation.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or related field.
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience.
  • PMP or other discipline-related certification preferred
  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Project user.
  • Intermediate to Advanced level competency in both schedule and cost control and earned value analysis.
  • Have a high emotional intelligence. Exceptional communication, teamwork and influencing skills that foster a collaborative and continuous-improvement environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be comfortable working as a radiation worker
  • Work to be conducted in both an office environment and the production facility.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Frequent use of computer with repetitive use of keyboard, mouse and manual dexterity.
  • 2-8 weeks of travel per year for site visits, visiting vendors, and attending conferences

Posted Salary Range

USD $90,000.00 - USD $104,000.00 /Yr.
