Nurtury Early Education is Hiring a Classroom Support Coach for Early Childhood Educators Near Boston, MA

General SummaryAs part of the Early Education Support Team, the Classroom Support Coachwill support teaching teams by providing coaching and expertise in classroom management and behavioral/relational health. Coach teachers in creating classrooms designed to meet the range of needs of children from birth to five years of age. You will work in identified priority classrooms where there is a blend of teaching styles and learning needs.
Essential Functions
  • Directly support teaching teams in classroom management (class routines, structure, environment, classroom set-up, schedule, transitions, teacher roles, clear classroom/child expectations).
  • Based on classroom/teaching needs, guide in the development of action plans to address needs, and follow-up as necessary.
  • Support implementation of Pyramid Model by focusing on nurturing relationships and quality learning environments.
  • Provide coaching/in-class modeling around relational health (SEL, behaviors).
  • Promote self-reflective practice in interactions.
  • Guide teachers in taking ownership for classroom management, environment and child interactions.
  • Model planning and communication between teaching teams (in preparation for staff shift changes).
  • Conduct observations and gather data/documentation.
  • Participate in team meetings where classroom has an identified child with support needs.
  • Support Program Director and teaching staff in designated Parent-Teacher Conferences.
  • Work with center Program Directors to identify and triage priority classrooms.
  • Develop a consistent schedule with flexibility around classroom scheduling as needed.
  • Comply with all safety policies and procedures, and report any unsafe activities to Program Director.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the essential functions:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in early education/special education or related field
  • 3 or more years of classroom experience as a lead early education teacher or within Early Intervention or Applied Behavior Analysis system
  • Experience or training in the Pyramid Model framework
  • Understanding of integrating children with various learning needs and services
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to take a strength-based and solution-focused approach to identified challenges
  • Ability to organize time and priorities
  • Works well in teams as well as independently
