Position Qualification/Requirements:

• Degree/Education:
  • Graduated from an accredited baccalaureate degree program in nursing (BSN) acceptable to the USAF Surgeon General.
  • Graduated from an accredited master’s degree program in nursing acceptable to the USAF Surgeon General.
• Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support:
  • Certified as a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
• Experience:
  • Possesses a minimum of one year experience in mental health or psychiatric care for adults, individuals, families, couples, or group therapy.
• Board Certification: Certified in the specialty required as a Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or the recognized national nursing certification organization for the specialty area of practice as appropriate
• Licensure/Registration: Maintains state licensure as an advance practice registered nurse, and maintains current BLS certification.
