We are seeking a Clinical Research Manager for an exclusive contract with a major Clinical Research Organization.


Start: ASAP
Contract Length: 6 Mos.
Full-time Mon-Fri 8 am-6 pm
Location: Cleveland, OH


The responsibilities include Administrative/Team Management, work Epic (EMR) tasks, Finances, Collaboration Practice/Coordination of Research efforts.


Plans, coordinates, and evaluates all clinical research team activities to provide high-quality research care. Holds staff accountable for the overall conduct of the clinical research protocols including identification, evaluation, and documentation of patients' visits. Ensures adherence to good clinical practice standards to achieve quality and cost-effective patient care.


Coordinates and manages the day-to-day team activities. Supervises the staff under the delegation of responsibilities as mandated by the licensing regulations of the various health regulatory agencies. Assesses clinical and financial feasibility of study protocols.


It is expected that 50% of the time will be dedicated to overall team and clinical research management and 50% will be dedicated to specific study protocols. Upholds the standards of the system-wide customer service and compliance program.


Oversees, supports, and makes contributions to patient safety by:

a. Providing a safe environment for patients.

b. Identifying and correcting root causes of errors.

c. Implementing systems to prevent errors.

d. Subscribing to the principles of responsible reporting of adverse occurrences, near misses, and safety concerns.

e. Providing evidence-based care.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a health-related field (i.e., Nursing, Nutrition, Social Work or other Health Profession) OR a licensed RN in the State of Ohio with five years of clinical/research experience OR 7 years experience in managing overall conduct of clinical research protocols.
  • Knowledgeable of all regulatory requirements in conducting research involving human subjects.
  • Experience in Institutional Review Board process.
  • Three years combined clinical research and management experience.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in personal computers and various software and database applications.
  • BLS Certification from the AHA.
  • Knowledgeable of good clinical practices (GCP) in research.
  • Good motivational skills.
  • Excellent management skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.
  • Note: There may be additional requirements including competencies as required by the department that will be indicated on the position posting.

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree in health or related field.
  • Certified clinical research coordinator(CCRC).
  • Experience in Institutional Review Board (IRB) process.
  • Experience in budget preparation.
  • Knowledgeable in area of department specialty.
  • Physical Demands:
  • May need to move around intermittently during the day, including sitting, standing, stooping, bending, and ambulating. May need to remain still for extended periods, including sitting and standing.
  • Ability to communicate in face-to-face, phone, email, and other communications.
  • Ability to read job related documents.
  • Ability to use computer.
