Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team on a per diem basis. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in circulating cardiac surgeries, with preferred scrub experience in various cardiac cases. This role is critical in our high-volume, fast-paced operating room environment, requiring substantial expertise and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Circulate and, preferably, scrub for a variety of cardiac surgeries, ensuring strict adherence to sterile techniques and protocols.
• Prepare the operating room, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functioning properly.
• Monitor and document patient vitals and maintain accurate surgical records.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to provide the highest standards of patient care and safety.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide necessary instruments and materials promptly.
• Assist in the setup and breakdown of the operating room before and after procedures.
• Provide comprehensive patient care preoperatively and postoperatively, ensuring smooth transitions and continuity of care.
• Follow hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Requirements:

• Current RN license in the state of California.
• Minimum of 2 years of circulating experience in cardiac surgeries.
• Scrub experience for various cardiac cases is highly preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
• Commitment to patient safety and high-quality care.
• BLS
• Covid Card

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree.
• Experience in a large, high-volume cardiovascular operating room setting.

Job Types: Contract, Per diem

Pay: $86.00 - $90.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
