Anesthesia Technician

Position: Anesthesia Technician (Contingent Type: Classic)
Location: Downey, CA, USA

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies for surgical procedures.
• Assist anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists during patient procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment is available and functioning correctly.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and anesthesia equipment during surgery, making adjustments as needed.
• Sterilize, clean, and maintain anesthesia instruments and work areas to ensure a sterile environment.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance on anesthesia equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and efficient workflow in the operating room.
• Maintain accurate records of anesthesia equipment usage and inventory.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Anesthesia Technician.
• Certification by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT) is mandatory.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong knowledge of anesthesia equipment and protocols.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work variable 8-hour shifts, including day, evening, and night shifts.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $37.00 - $43.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
