NURA USA is looking for a Sr. Manager of Quality Operations to lead NURA's quality control measures. Primary focus will be ensuring all quality procedures meet or exceed NURA's quality standards. The ideal candidate will have 3-5yrs experience in a GMP setting. Quality experience in a laboratory or in contract manufacturing a must. A detailed list of responsibilities include:

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Participate, engage, and/or spearhead NURA’s quality systems, programs, initiatives, and overall development,
  • maintenance, performance, and execution, respectively.
  • Responsible for NURA’s vendor/manufacturing site oversight and management in regard to ensuring the safe
  • production of products following cGMP or equivalent regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure and support high quality performance standards are set for the organization, evaluating regularly existing regulatory and business perspective.
  • procedures, improving existing procedures, and implementing new procedures aimed at mitigating risk from a
  • Oversee that all proper policies, SOPs, documentation, training, qualifications and programs related to quality
  • operations are in place and properly maintained.
  • May engage in technical research, review, and/or assessment of quality analysis internally, in partnership with
  • third party laboratories, and with vendors.
  • Review, approve, and/or update as necessary, quality manuals, SOPs, policies and processes regularly to ensure
  • all quality standards are in compliance with GMP, FDA, NSF, or other competent regulatory authorities.
  • Lead and oversee vendor management reviews, generate and maintain quality metrics and trends as necessary.
  • Maintain a strong conceptual understanding of the processes, procedures, quality systems, operations and support with regard to NURA’s requirements and standards.
  • regulatory concepts practiced and applicable to vendors site, providing respective vendor site guidance and
  • Manage and host customer and/or regulatory audits.
  • Oversee all open orders in the quality category in OOR system.
  • Oversee product certification process and renewals (Organic, Non-GMO, Kosher, Glyphosate-Free, etc.)
  • Collaborate with R&D on test method development and laboratory compliance and set up.
  • Engage, coach, mentor, develop, motivate, and support direct reports in aligning and performing to NURA’s goals
  • and objectives.
  • Lead all investigations related to OOS and customer complaints, oversee CAPA program and communicate
  • findings internally and externally to customers.
  • Must effectively communicate and support both internal and external matters pertaining to NURA’s Quality
  • Operations.
  • Have a strong understanding of 21 CFR part 111 and 117, FSMA, and FSVP.
  • Ability to maintain and strengthen NURA’s vendor qualification program.
  • Oversee NURA’s document and sample fulfillment program, ensuring accurate and timely turn-around to
  • customers.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (required); Master’s Degree or equivalent preferred. Degree in the Sciences relating to Chemistry, Biology, or Food Science preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years related experience, of which 5 years managerial experience working in GMP development, manufacturing, and/or laboratory.
  • Experience proactively resolving quality related issues at a customer facing level, preferred.
  • Track record on successful implementation of Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control programs and policies,
  • preferred.
  • Ability to interpret quality concepts/CFR verbiage and apply it to Quality operations.
  • Able to lead a diverse team and provide actionable timelines to complete quality projects & initiatives.
  • Ethics – Treats people with respect and upholds organizational values.
  • Adaptability – Adapts to changes in work environment; able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected
  • events and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
