TRC is seeking a Principal Engineer (SME) within our Environmental Engineering, Construction and Remediation (ECR) practice to be responsible in assisting with a major railroad accounts.
TRC is seeking an engineer with wastewater experience to join our growing Engineering and Remediation Practice in Nashville, TN. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual looking for career growth and experience in the permitting and design of wastewater, environmental remediation, storm water, and/or general industrial and municipal engineering projects. Our engineering staff provide support for permitting, design, and construction of a wide variety of technically challenging projects primarily for industrial, utility, renewable energy, and public sector/private clients. The position focuses on a candidate with the ability to work independently or in a project team with demonstrated excellence in written and oral communications, presentations, analytical, professional judgment, and team building skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS · Provide Subject Matter Expertise in the design of Wastewater Treatment Systems, specifically for railroad applications · Provide guidance and support as needed to railroad accounts on capital project bidding, procurement and design · Assist with management of projects and support project managers to include budgets, schedules, and client relations · Review of engineering calculations (e.g. for treatment, storm and sanitary sewer design). · Regulatory applicability assessments, review permit applications, and negotiating proposed permits. · May be responsible for multiple projects simultaneously · Interpreting data, conducting analyses, comparing findings to regulations to ensure compliance. · Communicating with clients and coordinating with regulatory agencies on behalf of clients. · Reviewing and preparing summary reports, technical memoranda and email correspondence. · Implementing TRC's safety, quality, and project management programs. |
