NuAire is looking for a Press Brake Operator to join our team. You should have previous experience with press machine operation, whether through steel manufacturing or sheet metal work.

Second shift Shop hours are Monday - Thursday 3:30 pm - 2:00 am.

Salary range: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour, plus $1.00 per hour shift premium. Starting wage will be dependent on experience level.

Job Function:

• Performs any combination of tasks to set up and operate most types of sheet metal machines including Amada/Accurpress, S-4, P-4, corner former and apron brake to shear, punch and form metal or other stock.
• Skills to look at a print and the parts for that print, decide what the best tooling would be to bend that part. Sometimes this involves picking the right machine to use as well.
• Assembles, aligns, and installs tooling to specifications using feelers, shims, templates, or other items as required by each part.
• Adjusts or programs machines for each item in accordance with shop routing and mechanical drawings.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Degree or certificate from a vocational school and/or three years of experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and use the caliper to measure dimensions.
• Experience working with press brake, punch press, metal forming and sheet metal fabrication machines and the ability to set up and operate preferred.
