• W2 Contract, 24 Months
• This position is hybrid. The office is located in Washington, D.C.
• Local candidates only
• This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week. Occasional overtime may be necessary based on project needs.

Overview
Our client is seeking two (2) seasoned Utility Project Managers to manage multiple construction projects from the conceptual stage through completion and closeout. The assigned projects will be on large new business/reliability distribution, transmission, and/or substation systems. Projects may include new, rebuild and reconductor both overhead and underground distribution lines and associated equipment. Substation projects primarily involve replacing or adding equipment in existing substations, including protection, control and communication equipment. These projects range from $2.5K 10 million in budgets.
Responsibilities

• Coordinate and complete projects as assigned within the parameters of cost, quality, schedule and objectives.
• Oversee all aspects of projects.
• Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor and summarize progress of the project.
• Prepare reports for upper management regarding the status of projects.
• Provide leadership for project team members and the Project Management process.
• Follow and adhere to the Project Management process and requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Management from a well-known univerity.
• PMP Certification by the end of the 24 months to be considered for a contract extension.
• 3-7 years of Utility Project Management experience within the Electric Industry, Construction Management or Heavy Commercial Construction Industry.
• Experience utilizing Asset Suite 8, Smartsheet, and Project Management software (MS Project).
• Needs to be a team player with the ability to bring members of multiple teams together to accomplish company goals.
• Experience at well-known companies.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with significant responsibility for large budgets or executive interface.
• Microsoft Office Suite experience.
• Experience understanding cost analysis on capital projects.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Electric transmission and substation management experience.
