About Growald Climate Fund
We are a high-impact venture global philanthropy fund catalyzing the rapid transition to a clean energy future. We believe that philanthropy plays a key role in nurturing new climate solutions, supporting a vibrant and growing civil society, and promoting objective research and analysis for use by governments and key partners.
About the Network Leadership Pillar
We recognize that the scale and speed of change required for the energy transformation is such that no single actor can accomplish it alone. The field haslearned thatcollective impact models, collaborative giving and network action are powerful keys to unlocking impact. We support these efforts both through our network grantmaking as well as through our direct engagement weaving networks and mobilizing resources for the field. Together, network grantmaking and resource mobilization aim to catalyze and build philanthropic infrastructure that fills funding gaps and scales partner work around the world.
Through our network grantmaking, we support field-led collective impact networks and regrantors, seed and strengthen infrastructure for philanthropic collaboration, and help embed collaborative practices across the ecosystem.
In addition to our network grantmaking, GCF dedicates time and resources to lead ALFIE, an informal community of funders aligned in their efforts to encourage clean electricity globally. Together, we galvanize and align resources and aggregate knowledge to bring our collective response to the climate emergency to the scale of the challenge. Our resource mobilization work is highly collaborative, ecosystem-generous, and aims for ecosystem-wide knowledge sharing and funding.
Through our grantmaking and network leadership, we aim to enable and catalyze collective impact approaches in climate philanthropy.
