Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a solid understanding of financial concepts. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will be responsible for managing and processing accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Duties:
- Process accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing, posting payments, and reconciling discrepancies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records
- Follow up on outstanding payments and resolve any billing issues or disputes
- Prepare and distribute monthly statements to customers
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve any customer inquiries or concerns
- Perform data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy
- Utilize phone etiquette when communicating with customers regarding their accounts
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial concepts
- Proficient in data entry and using accounting software
- Excellent math skills with the ability to calculate debits, credits, and journal entries
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding is a plus
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
