Position: Senior Accountant

Job Type: Full time Monday- Friday

Location: Salt Lake City, UT Onsite

Pay:$100,000-$115,000

NOW CFO is seeking a strong Senior Accountant to join our client's team in Salt Lake City, Utah! The position of senior accountant consists of analyzing financial information and preparing financial reports to determine or maintain a record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization. Experience with NetSuite is required.

Tasks

• Day-to-day accounting functions including processing accounts receivable and accounts payable; maintaining general ledger and chart of accounts; managing the employee expense process/system; processing payroll and interacting with other members of the operations team.
• Initiate banking transactions including payments and deposits.
• Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to manage cash flow.
• Develop, maintain, and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
• Maintain or examine the records of government agencies including preparing and filing returns and other required reports including sales taxes and coordinating audits and other communications with regulators.
• Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Coordinate with sales operations, CFO and tax preparer.
• Payroll processing – interfacing with HR and payroll processing vendors.

Qualifications and requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferrable, relevant experience acceptable.
• Ability to use logic and reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
• Ability to identify complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
