Summary
Perform highly skilled, rapid-draw venipuncture and process collected biological samples according to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) sample collection and processing instructions.
Essential Responsibilities

• Perform rapid venipuncture according to study requirements.
• Accurate processing of all biological samples collected as per sample collection processing instructions, providing proper documentation and verification.
• Label and prepare study supplies.
• Ensure laboratory areas are prepared and cleaned.
• Review lab and tech instructions prior to study start up.
• Observe participant behavior during all phases of study activity and communicate pertinent observations to Study Management.
• Document and QC documentation of all study activities as assigned.
• Assist with urine drug testing on study participants.
• Assist with sample packaging and shipment/delivery to analytical laboratories.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Certificate from college or technical school which includes phlebotomy training, or 6 months medical/clinical research experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Ability to successfully complete Phlebotomy training program

Licensing/Certification Requirements

• Current CPR certification is preferred.
