Job Description
We're seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our product development team in Annapolis Junction, MD. In this role, you will be a key player in all aspects of agile software design and development, including new capabilities development, testing, optimization, performance tuning, operation, and sustainment.
Requirements
Position Requirements:
Experience
  • 14 years as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in high-level languages such as Java, C, C , or JavaScript for application software development.
  • Minimum 3 years of recent experience developing production software for Solaris and/or Linux OS.
  • Proficiency in Java programming for distributed systems, with networking and multi-threading experience.
  • Agile development experience.
  • Experience with source code management practices and tools, including Git, Maven, and Jira.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university (or substitute 4 years of additional SWE experience on similar projects).
  • Strong knowledge of Linux fundamentals and proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Ruby, Perl).
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration / Continuous Testing tools like Bamboo, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and Continuous Monitoring tools like ELK Stack (ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana) and Nagios.
  • Familiarity with microservices software development techniques and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).

  • Skilled in Linux PXE/Network provisioning, Anaconda Kickstart, RAID utilities, TFTP images, and disk detection.
  • Capable of diagnosing and remotely repairing hardware, familiarity with utilities like VNC, IPMI, and BIOS-level configuration.
  • Understands corporate architecture, openSSL, Java keystore management, and can troubleshoot commodity hardware platforms, including SGI/HP hardware.
