Role summary:

This person will report directly to the Interim Director, Human Resources and will work FULLY ONSITE at our two Chattanooga, TN locations. In the role of HR Business Partner, you will be joining a world-class HR team that is providing strategic guidance to the leadership team as well as supporting the team members in the day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working as a trusted partner and advisor providing thought leadership to the organization.
  • Serving as a change agent to ensure the culture continues to grow into an open, progressive environment actively engaging with team members.
  • Supporting hiring and site expansion efforts; driving workforce planning, succession planning, mitigating retention risks, anticipating changes that might impact the workplace, and developing plans to support the business.
  • Supporting implementing strategies to attract and retain a diverse workforce.
  • Supporting the total rewards efforts in developing progressive recognition and compensation and benefits programs which align the needs of the business.
  • Enhancing programs to help onboard/assimilate new hires, develop skills, re-deploy skills, and enhance leadership skills.
  • Partnering with the organization on performance management processes and practices to help drive development, engagement, and productivity.
  • Managing employee relations and conflict resolution by conducting investigations as needed, managing conflict of low performance, and assisting the line managers with disciplinary or corrective action plans.
  • Developing and/or enhancing policies and procedures that will improve the Company's overall operation and effectiveness.
  • Partner with internal legal counsel to ensure we remain legal and regulatory compliance in all employment-related aspects of the organization.
  • Managing one to two direct reports.
  • Travel between the different facilities in Chattanooga.
  • Other duties as assigned.

You are/have:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, organizational development, business, or related field and a minimum of seven (7) years’ progressive experience in human resources resolving employee relations issues in a high speed, high growth environment, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two (2) years of people management experience.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines including employee relations, performance management guidance, change management, complaint resolutions, onboarding/offboarding, providing HR policy guidance and interpretation, workforce & succession planning, compliance, talent acquisition, total rewards, learning & development, diversity, equity, & inclusion, and leading multiple projects and priorities of large scale.
  • Well organized and invested in the details.

  • Resourceful when it comes to solving problems.
  • Passionate about creating a great culture.
  • Passionate about continuous improvement.
  • A critical thinker able to manage complex information.

  • An effective communicator.

  • Experience with Ceridian Dayforce HRIS.
  • Experience with employee mobility/visa requests.
  • Experience with Total Rewards, Compensation, Benefits, or Recruitment(highly desired).
