Novelis Richmond has an exciting opportunity for a Stores Coordinator. This position is accountable for data management, inventory accuracy, along with the general responsibilities for daily operations of Richmond Stores. The successful candidate is responsible for working towards Inventory Optimization – the strategy of ensuring the right stock, at the right levels, in the right place, at the right time. They are responsible for implementing and sustaining the MRO material management processes and will demonstrate a strong orientation for customer service, the ability to maintain a matrix reporting structure and have experience with Continuous Improvement.

- Maintain Storeroom to an “inspection ready” level at all times

- Ensure appropriate follow up with internal and external customers

- Seek to continuously improve processes, systems and overall customer satisfaction.

- Support the cycle count process and ensure inventory accuracy

- Promote and conduct good housekeeping practices

- Support the strategic vision of the EMRA Leader, which includes reducing Safety risks, optimizing inventory continuous improvement in the stores area.

- Promote EHS policy, implement the EHS management system and ensure continual improvement of EHS performance in day to day operations.

- Operate forklift in stores area when needed

Qualifications

- Highschool diploma required.

- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability

- Ability to organize and prioritize workload; must be able to manage multiple tasks at once without sacrificing attention to detail

- Excellent communication (oral and written) skills; ability to communicate with all levels in the organization and outside vendors

- Desire to take initiative and develop a pro-active relationship with employees through follow-up, understanding their needs and fostering a collaborative relationship

- Must be flexible and able to operate in a fast-paced and demanding environment

- Experience with inventory management computer system; SAP and/or Maximo is preferred

- Experienced with Microsoft Office: specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook

- High regard for safety, quality and adherence to protocols, policies and procedures

Location Profile

Established in 1959 the Richmond facility utilizes unique pellet casting technology and a compacting mill to produce aluminum rolled sheet for the building and construction industry. The site utilizes recycled material to produce AA3025 and AA3105 mill finish sheet used in the manufacturing of gutters downspouts soffit fascia siding roofing panels window trim and pipe jacketing.
