Novel Escape is an escape room business located in Austin, TX. We are looking for a contractor to complete a few electronic prop projects. The work hours are project based, and are flexible in terms of day and time. This would be perfect for someone looking for some creative tech side projects.

For the Electronics Prop Technician role, in addition to some design, assembly and coding for new electronics, the duties include providing repair and maintenance assistance for our electronic props. These systems are largely Arduino micro controller based. As such, experience with the Arduino platform is a plus, and programming experience with C is also a plus, but not essential. We do require a working knowledge of micro controllers, and some coding experience. Initial projects will involve RFID.

Skill Development: creative tech problem solving, electronic design, programming, soldering

Learning opportunities include: puzzle design, and being part of a growing business.

Depending on interest, may also include future opportunities to help with non-electronic prop building
