Novant Health Medical Group is looking for a conscientious, compassionate and experienced Orthopedic Physician Assistant to join our growing practice of 3 physicians and 5 APPs to provide clinical care for orthopedic patients in the ambulatory setting in the Ballantyne area of Charlotte, NC. This position will support our general orthopedist and will see acute injuries and same day walk in patients. Preferred experience: MSK Injections, casting, suturing and surgical closure. This position does include call responsibilities. Rotating call 1/6 weeks. Experience required.
Our expert surgeons and PAs work collaboratively to provide outstanding quality to our operative and non-operative patients. Our Orthopedic providers treat patients with a wide variety of orthopedic conditions. Candidates are responsible for performing a variety of clinical duties under the supervision of the orthopedic surgeon. These include but are not limited to seeing patients in the office setting, assisting in office procedures, taking call, evaluation of orthopedic diagnoses, and coordination of the patient care pathway.
Ballantyne is a growing community located within the South Charlotte Suburb. Located close to 485 and South Carolina border.

Qualifications:Education: Master's Degree required.? Either a graduate of an NCCPA accredited physician assistant program, or NP or post Masters NP program required.
Experience: Oneto three yearsof experienceinOrthopedicspreferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current PA or NP license in appropriate state required. NCCPA orregistrywith state nursing board,BLS,DEA registry required.
Additional Skills Required: Ability to successfully complete generic and depart-specific skills validation and competency testing; Thorough knowledge of diagnosis, and pharmacology; Thorough skill in physical assessment and management of chronic illness; Communication skills, both verbal and written; general computer knowledge is preferred; ability to work independently, yet in collaboration when necessary. Ability touse problem-solving, decision making, creative and communication skills. Dedicated to patient rehabilitation and self-care.
