The Mobile MR Technologist travels with the mobile MR truck and assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and safely operating the MR equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans. Qualifications
  • Education : High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or MR Program, required.
  • Experience : Minimum of one year of experience in MR, required.
  • Licensure/Certification :
    • Certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR), required.
    • IV Credentialed, required.
    • Applicable state license, required.
  • Additional skills required : Well versed in MRI safety issues such as medical prosthetics and implants as well as general magnet care and safety. Ensure patient safety including pre- screening. Cultivate and maintain effective communication with customers and radiologist. Capable of troubleshooting the scanner, coach and peripheral equipment as to insure we provide only the highest quality of MRI studies. May be called on to train and mentor new technologist and Radiology Operations Assistants.Required flexibility with schedule changes. Travel is regularly required. Thorough knowledge of MRI imaging equipment, analytical ability and basic computer skills. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Good communication skills.
