The Registered Nurse serves as a leader of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system, collaborating with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care that promotes optimal health or supports a peaceful death. The Registered Nurse utilizes best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the patient in navigating their health journey. The Registered Nurse accepts responsibility, authority, and accountability for management and provision of care in accordance with the current policies and procedures. The RN focuses on providing assessment, screening, healthy lifestyle support, education and chronic disease management with a goal of improving health outcomes and facilitating access to services. The NH Community Care Cruiser provides no-charge health services to low-income individuals, people without health insurance, and members of our community to achieve health equity.

Qualifications
  • Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree Nursing degree, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree Nursing degree, preferred.
  • Experience: One year relevant experience, required. One year experience in pediatric nursing care and knowledge of school immunization schedule, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
  • Additional Skills/Requirements (required) :
    • Education and training: continuing education related to work duties, maintain competency with up-to-date school vaccine administration.
    • Knowledge and use of state vaccine database North Carolina Immunization Registry (NCIR).
    • Knowledge of school vaccination schedule per North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS).
