Full Time OP Ortho LPTA

NovaCare in Rockville Maryland is seeking a full time physical therapist assistant (LPTA) for our Montgomery County team. We have an experienced clinician on staff able to offer a new grad PTA mentorship, or an experienced physical therapist assistant an opportunity to develop more skills.

We treat a diverse population of teens through geriatrics offering general ortho, sports medicine, running program, dry needling and industrial rehabilitative services. This full time opportunity and will include some evenings until 7pm with your last patient schedule an hour prior.

We schedule on the hour with 45 minute treat times and a 12 patient per day expectation. We can look at a nontraditional schedule of long days for short days on Wednesday and Friday.

Compensation starting at $29.00/hr. commensurate with experience

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient care under the direction and supervision of a licensed physical therapist as mandated by State Practice Act.
• Possesses training and education which allows him/her to assist the Physical Therapist in carrying out prescribed treatment program.
• Implements, with minimal supervision, high quality physical therapy services for patients, caregivers and facilities in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy and with Select Medical policies and procedures.
• Maintains positive level of interaction with facilities and clients. Enhances and expands client relations with facilities and their staff.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate from an approved curriculum for Physical Therapist Assistants, and having passed a national examination for Physical Therapist Assistants certified by the CAPTE.
• State license and/or certification must be valid in the state in which the individual will practice.
• Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
