Brandeis University is Hiring a Temporary Dean of Students Office Clinical Care Team Manager Specialist Near Waltham, MA

The Dean of Students Office Specialist will focus on clinical care case management; serving as lead case manager for students in crisis and providing oversight for incoming Care reports via the Maxient system. As the Clinical Care Tem Manager Specialist, you will meet with students, maintain a database of campus and community resources, provide crisis coverage and emergency intervention. You will also communicate with students, staff, parents, families or designated contacts, regarding but not limited to: emergency student-related situations, and/or student concerns.
This is a temporary position from July 2024 - December 2024. The position will be 29 hours per week, $40-50/hour based on experience; This position has the opportunity for remote work, with most work performed on the Brandeis campus. The Clinical Care Team Manager assists with students of concern matters for undergraduate and graduate students.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Care Team with transition and return to campus meetings. Assist with case creation for student of concern cases, including case creation for Care Team and Student Rights and Community Standards conduct issues.
  • Co-chairs the University's CARE team, which is a group of campus stakeholders charged with assessing and supporting students of concern.
  • Works with Care Case Manager.
  • Acts as liaison in collaboration with the Brandeis Counseling Center with the hospital at the time of release, and assists in managing the return from the hospitalization plan on behalf of the Dean of Students Office.
  • Assist in the responsibility of coordination and advisement to members of the Brandeis community regarding student care resources, regarding management of crisis situations and critical care team cases.
Additional Job Description
  • Physical/Environmental Demands: Office environment/no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands.
  • Significant experience managing mental health/counseling issues, preferably on a college campus, as well as knowledge and skill in addressing crisis issues with individuals; experience liaising with local healthcare providers to support students in crisis.
  • Significant experience in high stress environments.
  • Master's degree in higher education or related field required.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and to function autonomously and in partnership with members of the Dean of Students Office and campus partners
  • Occasional nights and weekend hours required
  • Working knowledge of Maxient software is preferred
  • Excellent writing and interpersonal skill
Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education Management, or a related field preferred
5-8 years, plus experience. LICSW, LCSW, or advanced degree preferred.
