Nova Automation is Hiring a Field Service Engineer - Manufacturing & Controls Near Denver, CO

You’re a skillful Field Service Engineer, who’s passionate about problem-solving and will spearhead the testing and installation of our robotic automation and packaging systems. This role is at the forefront of our innovation team which includes handling customer service calls and traveling to customer locations in the United States, Canada, and beyond. 

You will be a great fit if: 

  • You can design, upgrade, and troubleshoot new and existing PLC control systems based on company guidelines. 

  • You can travel to work with customers and engage them on commissioning systems in the field. 

  • You are able to provide training to customers on efficiency and operating systems. 

  • You can implement robotic programming and troubleshooting of Kawasaki, Kuka, & Fanuc Robots. 

  • You have strong interpersonal skills and can collaborate with the engineering department to understand complex automation lines, designs and integrate control packages within these lines. 

  • You can Design/upgrade new and existing HMI applications including Allen Bradley, and Proface touch screens on company guidelines and/or customer needs. 

  • You can collaborate with clients, customers, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve problems with delivered products. 

  • You have the ability to implement mechanical, electrical, and programming troubleshooting.

To be considered you will need: 

  • Education: Industry-related college degree preferred

  • Experience: 3-5 years' experience in Controls, Systems Engineering, Mechanical and/or Electrical role, or Robotics experience. 

  • Physical Requirements: Up to 50% Travel - Must be able to acquire a passport, if asked. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times and able to sit at a desk for prolonged periods of time. 

A plus if you have these skill sets:

  • Heavy Mechanical/Electrical Aptitude 

  • Alley Bradley PLC: ControlLogix\CompactLogix, PlantPAx, PLC 5, MicroLogix, SLC 500, RS Logix, Studio 5000, Studio Designer, FactoryTalk SE/ME 

  • Kawasaki/Kuka/Fanuc - Robot Programming experience a plus. 

  • Siemens PLC: TIA Portal v12, TIA Portal v13, TIA Portal v14, Step 7, S7-1500, S7-1200, S7-300, S7-400, WinCC Flex 

  • HMI Programming and Operations: Proface, Allen Bradley: FactoryTalk View Studio, RS View, PanelBuilder, Siemens: ProTool 

  • Variable Frequency Drives - Allen Bradley Powerflex, Eaton, SEW Eurodrive. 

  • Servos – Allen Bradley: Kenetics 6000, SERCOS Servo Drive Interface, Yaskawa: SGDV, SGDH
