Check all structural and mechanical components for defects. Make any necessary repairs and replace broken parts. Calibrate equipment and paint exterior surfaces.
Assist in shipping and inventory related matters. Assist in training new shop personnel. Provide assistance to others in difficult repair tasks.
Perform other work-related tasks as assigned. Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Completion of mechanical vocational program preferred. Minimum 5 years' mechanical experience required. Forklift experience required.
Knowledge of hydraulics and air systems required. Knowledge of drive trains and components required. Heavy equipment maintenance and repair experience required.
Ability to diagnose defects with assistance of drawings required. Ability to assemble and test components with drawings required.
Heavy equipment experience and oilfield servicing equipment preferred. Experience with SMAW and GMAW with the ability to pass 3G and 4G plate test preferred.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and dimensional detail drawings required. Ability to read and interpret interconnect and wiring diagrams required.
Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics required.JOB REQUIREMENTS Overtime may be required during weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to lift 25 pounds required. Must be able to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects and tools. Requires repetitive movements.
Must be able to climb without complications. Requires bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching. Requires pushing and pulling.
Requires standing 95% of the workday. May require working at heights. Must be able to work in limited spaces and in all climates.
