NOV is Hiring a QC Inspector Near Fort Worth, TX

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for incoming inspection, including manufactured items, machined items and any components/items that require inspection during in-process assemblies including on-site and offsite inspections as required.
  • Responsible for writing NCR Reports (NCR's) and their closures
  • Interacts with Suppliers regarding calibration outsourcing of Measuring and inspection tools
  • Liaison between Supplier, Purchaser, Engineering and Manufacturing when required
  • Shall comply with all company health, safety and environmental policies and procedures
  • Responsible for following all applicable company and corporate policies, procedures, and programs, including the process map, support processes, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Performs Visual and Dimensional inspection on incoming parts from suppliers including manufactured items, machined items, and components.
  • First Article inspections as required.
  • Performs Visual and Dimensional inspections on Injector Chains and Accumulators 
  • Initiates NCRs as needed and pushing them to close and sending out an NCR report weekly
  • Responsible for Calibration on all gauges by collection calibrating, packaging, and updating Q-Pulse.
  • Carry out all duties in accordance with the Quality Assurance procedures and department/area work instructions. 
  • Carry out all duties safely and in accordance with the Health & Safety Policy, Employee Handbook, procedures, training and instruction
  • Participate in training where required.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • High School education or equivalent ; Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline preferred with business exposure or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in inspecting machine, fabricated and manufactured Items.
  • Experience in metrology (units, and or a system of measurements).
  • Experience in dimensions and tolerances.
  • Proficient in the use of measuring and inspection tools.
  • Knowledgeable of calibration procedures and their required accuracy of the inspection tools in accordance with NIST.
  • Capable of writing technical explanations for non-conforming products.
  • Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook)
  • Working knowledge of industry standards API 6A standard, ISO, ASME, ANSI, ASTM, NACE, NORSOK, PED (Theoretical and Working Knowledge is a MUST).
  • Working knowledge of ITPs
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting manufacturing drawings
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or similar platform.
