PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify any Non-Conforming Products.
• Layout Mold setups as per daily production requirements.
• Mark and Paint part locations to ensure proper assembly.
• Create and maintain mold inventory
• Communicate set-ups to Cage and Molding personnel in a way that they understand the proper orientation of parts. May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Repair Molds, when needed.
• Assist Demolding, Molding, or Prestress personnel, when necessary.
• Assist Maintenance Staff if needed.
• Notify the supervisor of parts that are not available.
• Always work in a safe manner.
• Comply with all NOV Company Policies and HSE procedures.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

• Candidate must have a high school diploma or GED.
• 1-year fabrication shop or manufacturing environment experience a plus
• Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers and decimals. Good understanding of Geometry.
• Able to read a tape measure in millimeters and inches.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and drawings required to carry out his/her job.
• Ability to use hand tools, air-operated wrenches, and cutting torches.
• Must be able to operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Must be a competent welder (i.e. mig, stick)
• Ability to use oxygen/acetylene torch.
• Able to manufacture specialty parts for Molds.
• Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES’

• Prior forklift and lifting device operation experience is a plus.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting multiplication, and division for the purpose of calculating material fabrication.

FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

• Previous experience in a heavy manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Must be willing and able to work flexible shifts and change work schedules.
• Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Repetitive movement with hands & fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools or controls include simple grasping, fine manipulation, pushing & pulling, and reaching with hands & arms.
• Must be able to stand/walk for 6-8 hours a day; occasional sitting.
• Requires frequent bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching.
• Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
• Must be able to work in a non-temp controlled work environment with personal protective equipment

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS:

• Safety glasses, hard hats, and steel-toe boots while in the shop area.
• Hearing protection when required.
