Notre is looking for a hardworking self-starter to join us as a full-time Inventory Specialist in our Chicago, Illinois location

As an Inventory Specialist, you will be responsible for handling all day-to-day inventory management procedures. You will also be responsible for keeping notes of the stock received, shipped and all inventory audits as required. The inventory specialist will utilize our inventory management system and is a key resource in communicating to various internal departments. This role also serves as a customer service resource to support damaged merchandise, customer claims and various tasks and also supports WH associate duties as necessary to support business goals

Job Description

• Counting the products in the inventory on a daily basis. 
• Preparing inventory management reports. 
• Updating the inventory database on a daily basis and communicating with key stakeholders as necessary
• Tracking all the inventory-related data via software. 
• Keeping the inventory clean and well organized
• Reporting discrepancies, trends and other pertinent information to key stakeholders in the organization
• Track and order warehouse supplies as needed
• Serve as a liaison with accounting department during company inventory audits and lead warehouse inventory audit
• Assist customer service manager with damaged product, claim research, and other customer requests as necessary
• Establish KPIs for rate of inventory turnover, order status and tracking and fill rate.
• Create and maintain a strategy for received products, damaged products to ensure accuracy of stock received
• Manage residual inventory - at the end of each season communicate with key stakeholders on leftover inventory to best prepare to sell-out or send back
• Creates all SOPs/organizational methods, with the partnership of warehouse supervisors on current

processes and/or creating new processes unique to retail or warehouse.

• Manages all business and activity relating to retail inventory control
• Coordinates weekly inventory audits for stock accuracy and quality issues (QI)
• Pinpoints inventory QI & discrepancies with inventory (missorted, lost or stolen) and updates stock counts in all categories within a tracking system
• Coordinates all inbound/outbound inventory transfers (from/to warehouse)
• Communicates effectively with high priority projects and partners with the correct leads to resolve issues in a timely manner and provides solution-based feedback
• Provides weekly reports with data analysis/feedback on inventory, such as: Inventory Volume (top/bottom performing SKUs), stagnant merchandise, Store Inventory Requests (SIR), Shrinkage, Collective Customer Feedback

• Ability to interpret the sales reports. 
• Outstanding understanding of budget management. 
• Ability to lift heavy loads
• Highly detail-oriented and hardworking individual. 
• Excellent customer service skills. 
• Outstanding interpersonal skills.

Technical Skills and Educational Requirements

• High school diploma required; 
• Inventory management system experience a plus
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
• Must be able to know or be able to learn accounting software systems
