OUR CORE VALUES: Goodness of God · Education for Life · Integrity · Respect · Family · CommunityTypical Functions for the Senior Staff Accountant:Working under minimal supervision of the CFO, and only referring exceptional problems and issues for management review or approval, the Senior Staff Account will be required to perform all duties ensuring compliance with departmental policies and procedures and in accordance with GAAP. The following represents typical (not all) duties of the Senior Staff Accountant:•Tracking, posting, and reporting daily cash transactions and performing monthly cash reconciliations. •Ensuring regular monthly invoices have been obtained and have been properly processed for payment. •Performing weekly check runs ensuring timely payment of amounts due.•Accounting for fixed assets and related depreciation expense. •Accounting for the School’s investments.•Invoicing of Corporate Work Study Partners.•Tracking and collecting accounts receivable due from Corporate Work Study Partners.•Supporting the CFO in the month end closing process by performing various tasks including journal entries, analysis of Payroll, analysis and amortization of various prepaid expenses and accrued liabilities, analysis of outside professional expenses, analysis of expense trends.•Preparing and processing the bi-weekly payroll. •Onboarding of new staff.•Processing benefit changes with outside benefit providers and updating employee accounts and payroll deductions accordingly.•Assisting in preparation of the annual budget and monthly forecasts.•Performing special projects and other duties as assigned by CFO or President. •Providing support to external auditors as needed.•Assisting in the preparation of the annual financial statements and Form 1099.Required Competencies:•Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or the equivalent combination of work and experience required.•Advanced Accounting knowledge.•Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks or other General Ledger software.•Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills with ability to create complex spreadsheets using formulas, including v-lookup, and pivot tables.•Articulate with ability to express oneself clearly and professionally in written and oral communication.•Adaptable with ability to switch tasks based on shifting priorities.•Analytical with ability to draw conclusions from data, systematic and rational.Application Process: If you would like to be considered for the Senior Staff Accountant position at Notre Dame Cristo Rey High School, please submit one PDF document containing the following information via email to our Human Resources Department at hr@ndcrhs.org.1.Cover letter2.Professional resume3.List of 3 professional references (including email and telephone contact information for each reference)?
