Assistant Bakery Manager

Nothing Bundt Cakes – Tuscaloosa, AL

Employee Classification: Full-Time, Exempt

Compensation: Competitive based on experience, plus bonus, 401K w/matching program

Reports To: Bakery Manager & Owners

Supervisory Responsibility: yes

Paid Time Off: Employee shall be entitled to paid time off (including vacation, sick and personal days) and paid regular work day holidays in year one, which shall be subject to all of the Company’s paid time off policies.

Responsibilities include:

Genuine desire and commitment to providing excellent quality and customer service

  • Provide positive direction to all associates to ensure bakery operations are aligned with the company's overall goals
  • Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate a servant minded team
  • Team building and development
  • Cultivate working relationships in the business community and a warm and inviting walk in experience
  • Be comfortable and hands on in front and back of house operations
  • Manage preventative and corrective action
  • Monitor inventory, usage, turns, and replenishment
  • Monitor and enforce safety and security standards
  • Prepare sales and production forecasts to ensure proper inventory management
  • Coordinate production, delivery, and associate work schedules
  • Monitor quality control standards
  • Presents a consistent professional image of the store facility and associates by maintaining all sanitation and appearance standards
  • Execute in store marketing and merchandising programs based on company guidelines
  • Support and manage sales efforts including retail, delivery, events, corporate, web orders, fund raisers, and suggestive selling
  • Manage customer and employee expectations
  • Hours of Work: This job position is a full-time position and occasionally requires work outside of a normal 40-hour work week, as the job duties demand.

Requirements:

Minimum of 1-3 years of retail, kitchen, hospitality, or customer service experience

  • Can do and energetic attitude with a servant’s heart
  • Closed on select holidays, but 100% commitment to the buildup prior to
  • Become trained and proficient in all bakery positions
  • Demonstrated leadership, organization, and communication ability
  • A warm and friendly personality who enjoys being around people and in the community
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Driver's license and safe driving record

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $37,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
