Nosco is looking for a Strategic Sourcing Specialist at our Pleasant Prairie, WI facility.

As an employee owner in this position you will strategically source and acquire the highest quality goods and services at the most competitive prices, while maintaining integrity, transparency, and ethical standards in all our dealings. Through effective supplier relationships and innovative purchasing strategies, we aim to optimize value for our organization, minimize risk, and contribute to its overall success and sustainability.

In this role, you will…

  • Analyze costs across the supply chain to identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement. Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service levels.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers. Collaborate with suppliers to drive continuous improvement, innovation, and value creation.
  • Ensure that the raw materials meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. Maintain processes to monitor supplier performance and address any non-compliance issues.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as operations, account management, sales, solutions engineering, to understand their requirements and priorities along with our customers. Align sourcing strategies with cross-functional objectives and ensure buy-in from key stakeholders to support on-time delivery of 95% or better.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize sourcing processes, streamline workflows, and adopt best practices. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and agility within the procurement function. Complete 2-3 measurable process improvement projects annually.

Success factors…

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field such as Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Operations management, or related studies.
  • Up to 5 years of experience in business with demonstrated success in leadership, process improvement, business systems and team development.
  • Well-developed written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively deal with suppliers and individuals throughout the company and at multiple manufacturing sites.
  • Proven ability to utilize the full complement of standard PC software packages.
  • Effective time management and organization skills, with an ability to prioritize and complete many follow up responsibilities simultaneously while also being able to take initiative.
  • Appropriate quantitative skills with an ability to analyze data and identify trends, including attention to detail and accuracy
