Norwalk Tank Company, established in 1961 is anPrecast Concrete manufacturer located in Joliet, IL. We produce Precast Concrete products for the Construction, Landscape and Electrical Industries.

Job Overview:

We are seeking an Estimator to join our team. As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in the bidding process by conducting civil blueprint "take-offs" to determine the type and quantity of the precast concrete structures required. You will also source other related materials to create accurate and timely project estimates. This is a full-time position with opportunities for career growth.

Duties:

- Analyze construction plans, specifications, and other project documents to determine materials required.

- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for materials.

- Create submittal packages and shop drawings.

- Procure, scan, archive and reproduce quote documents.

- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and specifiers to gather necessary information for estimating purposes

- Source pricing with Vendors to ensure competitive bids

- Provide support to project management team by assisting with change order pricing.

- Provice excellent customer service telephonically and in person.

Requirements:

- College degree or relavant experience.

- Experience in construction estimating perferred

- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications

- Effective communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $59,000.00 per year
