The role of the Speech Language Pathologist is to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient/family speech therapy needs for patients aged neonate/infant (birth to 1 year), pediatric (1-12 years), adolescent (12-18), adult (18-65 years), and geriatric (over 65 years); maintains documentation on patient treatments. The Speech Language Pathologist will evaluate, assess, plan, and implement treatment according to the findings. Addresses educational needs for patients, families, and other health care providers; manages patient care assignments as well as other organizational tasks related to patient and departmental operations; acts in a clinical leadership role; applies knowledge of growth and development in patient interactions; performs other related duties as needed.
