Northwood Club is a rapidly growing with increased membership. The Club was established in 1946. We are a premier country club located in Dallas, Texas, best known for hosting the 1952 U.S. Open. We have our newly renovated PGA Championship Golf Course that opened in 2019 and is rank as one of the best in the state. Club has been recognized as Best Overall Private Clubs three years in a row by Avid Golfer Magazine. Our staff consists of a wide range of professionals who are well recognized in areas of Tennis, Golf and Culinary.

Child care attendant is responsible for providing personalized care to children and attend to their safety and well being while parents are engaged in club activities. We are currently looking for someone who can work weekends.

Essential Duties:

• Maintains the safety and cleanliness of the daycare center by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Ensures proper paperwork and waivers have been signed by parents prior to children being dropped off.
• Maintains sign-in and sign-out log for parents and that all charges are billed correctly to member accounts.
• Entertains children by engaging them with toys, movies, books and games.
• Assist in creating activities and crafts
• Monitor safety of children when playing outside and inside
• Maintains flexibility to take on new and different tasks as directed by the Department Manager/Supervisor.
• Attends staff meetings when required

Education/Experience: High school education; or up to one year related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills: Fluent English is required. Effective communication to members, staff and children is required daily.

Mathematical Skills: May be required: to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.

Reasoning Ability: May be required: to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one and two step instructions; to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Physical Demands: Frequently sits; uses hands to finger, feel or handle; reach with hands and arms. Occasionally stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches, sits, talks or hears. Regularly lifts up to 25 pounds.

Certificates/Licenses: Must be at least age 18. First Aid and CPR and Child Abuse Awareness Training

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:

• Ability to read and speak English required in order to perform the duties of the job (e.g. the employee may be required to communicate with English speaking members or co-workers, the manuals for equipment the employee may use are in English).
• Previous child care experience and/or someone persuing child education preferred.
