Overall function:

The Director of Operations and Client Services specializes in client service and supporting the financial advisor to ensure that their focus remains on building their business. They work closely with others on their team to provide ongoing support operations, planning, service, and marketing. They act as a liaison between the home office, financial advisor, and clients.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain compliant client file folders
  • Collect and input client meeting notes
  • Conduct regular meetings with financial advisor
  • Maintain financial advisor’s calendar and confirm appointments
  • Compile meeting kits which includes all materials needed for the client meetings
  • Manage the insurance underwriting process for clients
  • Process, or collaborate with others to open/fund investment accounts and investment service requests such as funds disbursements, account transfers and trade correction requests
  • Process client service requests
  • Assemble targeted feedlists to provide marketing support for financial advisor
  • Handle case notes, processing investment correspondence and implementation
  • Open new accounts, money movement and other investment related support for clients
  • Ensuring NMIS and insurance compliance requirements are implemented and followed
  • Corresponding with clients to handle service issues
  • Maintaining daily tickler system for account follow-ups and service requirements
  • Running performance reports in Envestnet, Morningstar and NMCIR

Qualifications:

  • 2 years financial service or insurance industry experience preferred
  • IL Life and Health licensed preferred
  • Series 6, 7, 63 licensed preferred
  • Superior interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work well with others
  • Ability to proactively identify what needs to be accomplished and take action
  • Ability to work both independently and on a team
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Adaptable to change
  • Committed to professional growth and development, independent learner that seeks knowledge

Expectations and Benefits:

  • Ability to commute to job location daily – Fairview Heights, IL
  • Work hours: Standard 40 hours, Monday-Friday
