Northwestern Mutual Upstate, SC is Hiring an Associate Financial Representative (Registered) Near Greenville, SC

JOB SUMMARY: Supports the Wealth Management Advisor in the areas of client service, information management, practice marketing and compliance with focus on insurance and investment related products and services. Specific responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·Running insurance illustrations, preparing cases for appointments, preparing and submitting applications, monitoring underwriting, following up on requirements, tracking progress, and preparing policies for delivery.

·Servicing clients regarding variable insurance/annuities, managing variable product underwriting, processing new accounts, following up and monitoring brokerage accounts, enrolling new clients in retirement plans.

·Under the direction of the Associate Wealth Management Advisor, assisting with investment related tasks such as entering trades, rebalancing accounts, handling account paperwork and transfers, generating investment proposals, preparing advisory cases for reviews and appointments, and processing withdrawals.

·Executing a variety of administrative tasks such as scheduling client reviews, confirming appointments, maintaining the Wealth Management Advisor’s calendar, sorting and delivering mail, filing, managing office supplies and keeping technology up-to-date.

·Supporting the Wealth Management Advisor in client meetings by recording thorough case notes, assigning follow-up tasks, and providing relevant information as needed.

·Onboarding new fee-based financial planning clients, building and delivering financial plans, and managing invoices for financial planning services.

·Using CRM (Client Relationship Management) software to track sales opportunities and related tasks, manage client information, and optimize client touchpoints.

·Managing marketing initiatives, including sponsorships and charitable giving, internal and external events, social media content schedule and engagement, and client gifts and cards.

NOTE:The Essential Functions listed above apply to a fully trained and licensed AFR. The initial duties of the candidate who fills this position will be based upon their relevant experience.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·Health and Life licensed or gain licensing within 2 months of employment

·Familiarity with Microsoft applications and data entry and information retrieval software

·Demonstrated organizational and time management skills and ability to multitask, set priorities and meet deadlines

·Associate Financial Representative contract required within 3 months

·Series 7 and Series 63 required within 18 months

·Demonstrated ability to maintain effective working relationships with clients

·Excellent oral and written communication skills

·Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy

·Ability to manage multiple diverse projects and assignments in a timely and quality manner

·Willingness to learn

·Ability to embrace change and work in a fast-paced environment
