The Director of Financial Planning oversees and works alongside the Integrated Financial Planning department within the Wealth Solutions Group. This individual is responsible for the leadership of the department, helps to instill a culture of comprehensive financial planning within the organization, and, in doing so, ultimately supports the planning needs of financial & wealth advisors. He/She reports to and coordinates with the Chief Growth Officer & President of Wealth Management.

Specific responsibilities include but will not be limited to:

Consultation and Education

• Promote, utilize, and reinforce a planning culture aligned to the organization’s planning philosophy and best practices
• Provide one on one case consultation to financial advisors
• Identify additional resources for financial advisors to work with (e.g. utilization of home office resources and existing enterprise resources)
• Oversee Financial Planning Consultants within the team
• Promote professional growth within the team
• Build & maintain relationships with financial advisors
• Facilitate regular occurring training within the team and across the enterprise of wholistic financial planning & wealth strategies

Investment Analysis & Case Preparation

• Prepare, or collaborate with others to provide, all materials and information financial advisors need to support the investment client onboarding process
• Develop an effective investment philosophy that coordinates with a financial planning approach
• Maintain proper advisory and brokerage operational expertise

Qualifications

Required

• 5-10 years financial planning experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance and/or related field
• Life, Accident & Health Insurance licenses (or ability to get within 3 months of hire)
• Series 6 or Series 7 (or ability to get within 3 months of hire)
• Series 63 (or ability to get within 3 months of hire) or Series 66
• CFP (or currently in the process of obtaining)
• Broker/dealer, RIA, and/or investment advisory platform experience
• Strong analytical, problem solving, written and verbal communication skills
• People leadership experience
• Committed to professional development (e.g. CLU, ChFC, CFP, RICP, CRPC)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
