Soar Learning Center, a state approved independent school and day treatment program providing academic, behavioral, and clinical supports to children and youth in grades K-12 is seeking an energetic and organized Behavior Interventionist (BI) Service Coordinator for our Elementary and Middle School. Soar Learning Center is part of the Children, Youth, and Family Division at Northwestern Counseling and Support Services.

The BI Service Coordinator is critical to the overall operations of the Behavior Intervention team, providing management of the Student Support Center and assisting the Team Leader in the supervision, coaching, and coordination of BI staff and the provision of direct service to students. The BI Service Coordinator will also assist the Team Leader in the development and implementation of school-wide and individual behavioral programming as well as the accurate and timely collection and reporting of behavioral data.

Effective written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to multi-task in a fast paced and collaborative student-centered environment are essential to this position and prior knowledge and experience with ABA principles and trauma-informed care are highly desirable, but not required.

Qualified applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in education, psychology, or a related human services field and a minimum of three years’ experience. Candidates who do not possess a bachelor’s degree but have a high level of commensurate experience and training with a similar population will also be considered.
